The Bank of England unexpectedly slashed the benchmark interest rate by 1.5 percentage points thursday as policy makers tried to limit the damage caused by the recession. The Pound initially fell, but has since recovered lost ground as the markets interpreted the move to be positive for the UK economy. This may help the property market in the costa blanca. (read more)

The project for Denia's future port terminal has been approved and is now in the fase of pre-tender.
